App: CodeSnap – QR & Barcode Scanner  |  Last updated: July 21, 2026

Summary: CodeSnap does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Scanning and history are processed entirely on your device. No account, no cloud sync, no tracking.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

CodeSnap does not collect any of the following:

2. Camera Access

CodeSnap requests camera access solely to detect QR codes and barcodes in real time while the scan screen is open. Camera frames are analyzed on-device using Google's ML Kit and are never recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere.

3. Scan History

Scanned codes and generated QR codes are saved locally on your device (using Android's Room database) so you can revisit them later. This history never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export feature to save it as a file you choose to share yourself.

4. Photo Library Access

When you use "scan from gallery," CodeSnap reads only the single image you select in order to detect a code within it. No other photos are accessed or uploaded.

5. Internet Permission

CodeSnap does not request or use the internet permission. No data is transmitted to any server at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

CodeSnap does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.

7. Children's Privacy

CodeSnap does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts, social features, or data collection of any kind.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
