App: ClearPlay – Local Video Player  |  Last updated: July 27, 2026

Summary: ClearPlay does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It does not request internet access at all. Everything — your video library, playback progress, and favorites — stays on your device. No account, no cloud sync, no tracking.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

ClearPlay does not collect any of the following:

2. No Internet Permission

ClearPlay does not request or use the internet permission. The app cannot send data anywhere, because it has no network access of any kind — this is a deliberate, permanent design choice, not a setting you need to configure.

3. Video Library Access

ClearPlay reads the video files already stored on your device (through Android's standard media library) solely to display them in the app and let you play them. This access is used only to show your videos to you — nothing about your video library ever leaves your device.

4. Playback Progress & Favorites

ClearPlay remembers your playback position and favorited videos so you can resume watching later. This information is stored locally on your device only (using Android's Room database) and is permanently deleted if you uninstall the app.

5. Third-Party Services

ClearPlay does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.

6. Children's Privacy

ClearPlay does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts, social features, or data collection of any kind.

7. Changes to This Policy

If ClearPlay's data practices change in a future update (for example, if advertising is added), this policy will be updated before that update is released, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
