  Summary: ClearFiles does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
  All operations run entirely on your device. No account, no internet connection, no tracking.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

ClearFiles does not collect any of the following:

Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or crash reports (no third-party SDK)
File names, file contents, or metadata from your storage
Any information transmitted to external servers

2. Storage Access

ClearFiles requests access to your device storage solely to perform file management operations (list, copy, move, delete, rename files) at your explicit command. File data never leaves your device. The app uses Android's standard Storage Access Framework and MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission to provide full file manager functionality.

3. Secure Vault

The Secure Vault feature encrypts files using AES-256-GCM with keys stored in the Android Keystore. Encrypted files are stored only on your local device. No encryption keys or file contents are sent anywhere. Biometric authentication (fingerprint / face) is handled entirely by Android's BiometricPrompt API — ClearFiles never receives or stores your biometric data.

4. Internet Permission

ClearFiles does not require or use an internet connection. No data is transmitted to any server at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

ClearFiles does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.

6. Children's Privacy

ClearFiles does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts, social features, or data collection of any kind.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
